Dorothy M. Lynch

Dorothy M. Lynch, 94, died October 28 at the Franciscan Missionaries of Mary Assisted Living Facility in Rhode Island.She was the daughter of the late William J. Higgins and Agnes E. (Brides) Higgins and the wife of the late Arthur J. Lynch.Dorothy graduated from Brockton High School and the Higgins Commercial School in Boston.She was employed as a bookkeeper for John Cahill Motor Company in Brockton before moving to Bass River, Cape Cod, where she was employed by Edward A. Crowell Construction Company as executive secretary and bookkeeper until retirement in 1985.In Brockton she was a member of the Twentieth Century Catholic Club serving a term as Vice President. She also served as treasurer of St. Ann's Women's Guild as treasurer.Mrs. Lynch leaves her sister, Rosemarie Higgins, FMM of North Providence, RI and nieces and nephews, Sheila Sullivan of Revere Beach, Theresa and Michael De Pallo of Hoboken, NJ, William and Paula Higgins of Marietta, GA, John P. Higgins of Chesapeake, VA, Timothy and Denise Higgins of Brockton, Michael and Julia Higgins, of Boxwood, MA, Thomas and Karen Higgins of Groveland, MA. her brother -in-law Joseph H. Joseph of Halifax, MA, and several grandnieces and grandnephews. She was predeceased by other family members Edward P. Higgins, Esther C. Joseph, Warren J., W. Roger and Robert T. Higgins.Visiting hours will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Sunday October 30 with a Wake Service at 7 p.m. in Holy Family Chapel, Fruit Hill Avenue, North Providence; Funeral Mass at Holy Family Chapel Monday October 31 at 11 a.m. Her burial service will be October 31, 2011 in St. Joseph's Cemetery, Plymouth, MAArrangements are being made by Russell J.
