Barnes, Duane A., age 74 of Pearl Ave, passed away on June 18, 2010. He was the beloved husband of Josephine(Brearley)Barnes. Born in Illinois, he was the son of the late Walter and Ora Lee(Meredith)Barnes. Before retirement in 1999 Mr. Barnes was the owner of B & B Auto Electric in Providencealong with John Paesano, for over 45 years. He was a Navy Veteran of Korea. Besides his wife, he leaves sons Duane A., Jr., Douglas A., and wife Jean, and Darren A. and wife Maria. Brother of Marie Ruback, Doris Boyer, Betty Krug and Martha Rickand. Grandfather of Tiffany, Amanda, Duane, Brittany, Jaylen and Jayce. He was also the brother of the late John , Donald and Delmar Barnes, Beatrice Rahn, Lillian Roth, Estelle Gremmels and Yvonne Knight. A funeral service will be held on TUESDAY at 10am in The RUSSELL J. BOYLE & SON Funeral Home 331 Smith St., PROVIDENCE, Interment with military honors will follow in Highland Memorial Park .
