Edith Fox Pliskin, 99, of North Dartmouth, passed away at her home on Thursday, October 24, 2019. She was born on February 9, 1920, to the late Meyer and Ida (Gottlieb) Fox. She was also preceded in passing by her husband, Benjamin Pliskin. Edith is survived by her sons, David Pliskin and his wife, Nita of Pawtucket, RI, and Sandy Pliskin and his wife Lucia Watson of Foster, RI; grandchildren, Kayla and her husband Rabbi Aviad Hack, Miriam and her husband Rabbi Berel Wolowik, Sarah and her husband Rabbi Baruch Rothman, and Aryeh Pliskin and his wife Chana Miriam; and several great-grandchildren. Funeral service will be held at 12:00PM on Friday, October 25, 2019, at Tifereth Israel Synagogue – 145 Brownell Avenue, New Bedford, MA 02740 with burial to follow at Plainville Cemetery. In lieu of flowers contributions in her memory may be made to P.A.C.E. Inc./Emergency Food Pantry, The Louis and Goldie Chester Full Plate Kosher Food Pantry or Tri-County Symphonic Band Scholarship Fund. Shiva will be held at the home of David and Nita Pliskin immediately following the services until 4:00PM, Sunday morning Minyan at 8:00AM and from 1-9PM with Mincha-Maariv at 5:25PM, Monday morning Minyan at 6:45AM and from 1-9PM with Mincha-Maariv at 5:25PM, Tuesday and Wednesday morning Minyan at 6:30AM and from 1-9PM with Mincha-Maariv at 5:25PM, and Thursday morning Minyan at 6:45AM and from 1-9PM with Mincha-Maariv at 5:25PM.
