Edward J. Fleury Jr.

Edward Joseph Fleury Jr., age 67, passed away Tuesday, June 13, 2023 surrounded by his loving family. He was the beloved husband of Francesca (Biondi) Fleury to whom he was happily married for 40 years.

Born in Providence, he was a son of the late Edward Joseph Fleury Sr. and Margaret (Benson) Fleury.

He will be remembered as a hardworking man who loved his family and had a great sense of humor as well as his love for his dogs Roxy and the late Bailey.

One of his proudest accomplishments was owning and operating his business, Quality Casting, from 1987 to 2004. Most recently, he worked as a machinist for Hindley Manufacturing.

He was the loving father of Dawn Hernandez, Christine Rios (Denise), and Edward Joseph Fleury III (Bianca); cherished grandfather of Khrystina, Nallize, Alex Robert, Ryan, AJ, and Mayson; brother of Anthony Mattera, Carol Derosiers, Patricia Burnett, Donna Correia, and the late Thomas Fleury; and the son in law of Marie Biondi and the late Antonio Biondi. He also leaves several brother in laws, sister in laws, nieces, and nephews.

His visitation will be held Monday, June 19, 2023 from 4:00-7:00 p.m. from the ROMANO FUNERAL HOME, 627 Union Avenue, Providence. His funeral will be held Tuesday, June 20, 2023 at 8:45 AM from the ROMANO FUNERAL HOME followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 a.m. in St. Augustine Church, 639 Mt. Pleasant Avenue, Providence. Burial will follow in St. Ann Cemetery, Cranston.
