Edward F. Paul, 91, of Warwick, died April 10, 2010 at Roberts Health Centre. He was the beloved husband of the late Eleanor (Byrnes) Paul.Born in Pennsylvania, he was the son of the late Walter and Elizabeth (Bobickaite) Padonevitch.He is survived by his children, Edward Paul of Ventura, CA, John Paul of North Kingstown, Robert Paul of Greenland, NH, and Patricia Paul- Margulis of Cranford, NJ, 5 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren. He was the brother of the late Vito Paul, Mary Mulford, and Algy Cilcus.A 20-year Navy veteran, he served with the "Black Cats" at Guadalcanal in PBY squadron VP12 and had a pivotal role in the sinking of a Japanese submarine.Calling hours will be held Tuesday, April 20, from 4 to 7 p.m. at the Russell J. Boyle & Son Funeral Home, 142 Centerville Road, Warwick, with a Mass of Christian Burial on Wednesday, April 21 at 10 am in St. Gregory the Great Church, Cowesett Road, Warwick.
