Born in Providence, he was the son of the late Thomas and Alice (Cassidy) Ryder; husband of Rita (Frattaruolo) Ryder for 45 years; and father of George T. Ryder.
Mr. Ryder had served as a First Lieutenant in the U.S. Army, was a graduate of Providence College and retired as a sales manager for Kraft Foods Inc.
Visitation will be held Monday, 5-7 p.m. with a funeral on Tuesday at 9 a.m. from the PONTARELLI-MARINO Home, 971 Branch Avenue, Providence. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. in St. Pius V Church, Eaton Street, Providence, followed by burial with Military Honors in St. Mary’s Cemetery, Bristol.
