Elaine F. McGee

North ProvidenceMcGee, Elaine F., 75, of Nipmuc Trail, died Monday at Brigham & Women's Hospital. She was the wife of Philip M. McGee. They had been married for forty-three years. Born in Providence, a daughter of the late Vincent J. and Elvira (Leonardo) Alianiello, she had lived on Hilary Drive in Providence before moving to North Providence twelve years ago. She had also summered in Bonnet Shores, Narragansett for many years. As a young woman, Mrs. McGee was involved in her family business, the former Windsor Pharmacy, on Hartford Avenue, Providence, and V & E Realty, also located in Providence. She was a communicant of Saint Pius V Church, an active lifelong volunteer in many Democratic Party political campaigns, and a member of the Dunes Club, Narragansett. She also volunteered for numerous religious, civic, and charitable organizations throughout Rhode Island. Beside her husband Phil, she leaves two daughters; Jennifer E. McGee of Washington, D.C., Penelope McGee Savitz, and her husband, Andrew W. Savitz, of Chestnut Hill, Massachusetts, a brother; Vincent J. Alianiello of Daytona Beach, Florida, three grandchildren; Noah, Zuzzie and Harry Savitz, and several cousins. The funeral will be held Friday, at 8:45 am, from the Russell J. Boyle & Son Funeral Home, 331 Smith Street, Providence. Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 am in Saint Pius V Church, Eaton Street, Providence. Burial will be in Saint Francis Cemetery, Pawtucket. Visiting hours Thursday, 5 - 8 pm. In lieu of flowers, donations to Saint Jude Children's Hospital 501 Saint Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105 in her memory will be appreciated.
