Eleanor Ida (Landi) Paolantonio, 88, of North Providence, passed away surrounded by her family on Saturday, January 7, 2017. She was the beloved wife of the late Joseph A. Paolantonio Jr. Born in Providence, she was a daughter of the late James and Maria (D’Acchioli) Landi. Eleanor’s greatest love was her family. She was also a talented woman who mastered all forms of needlecraft. Over the years, she had worked as an independent seamstress, enjoyed working with the brides and their gowns at Bridal Affair, taught sewing classes, and created gifts and artwork to be treasured by family and friends.
She is survived by her loving children, Joseph Paolantonio and his wife Melanie, Anthony Paolantonio and Jeanne Edelen, and Jacqueline Insana and Tom Tinkham; four adoring grandchildren, Joe, Matt, Nick and Bob; two great-grandchildren, Lucas and Logan. She is the sister of Vincent Landi, Anna Soares and Hilda Catalfamo and the late Americo Landi, Theresa Ribezzo, Amelia Landi, Florio Landi and Louis Landi.
Funeral services and burial are private at her request.
