Eleanora I. (Insana) Mahar, 83, passed away at home in Lady Lake, Florida. She was the wife of the late William T. Mahar, Sr. and daughter of the late Joseph and Virginia (Giordano) Insana. She had worked in the insurance industry for several years and was the owner of a yarn and craft shop until her retirement in 1992. An avid golfer, she was a member of several country clubs in both Rhode Island and Florida.
She was the sister of Raymond Insana and the late Anthony Insana and Doris Weber; step-mother of William T. Mahar, Jr. and Mary Stella Mahar and her husband David McNamara; and grandmother of Aislinn and Ceara McNamara. She also leaves several nieces and nephews.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial WEDNESDAY AT 4 P.M. in St. Anthony Church, 1413 Mineral Spring Avenue, North Providence. Burial will be held THURSDAY at 1 p.m. in the Maine Veterans’ Memorial Cemetery, Augusta, ME.
