Elizabeth “Liz” A. Caldwell, 61, of 79 Monticello Street, Providence, passed away of natural causes on November 14, 2015. She resided in Chicago before relocating to Rhode Island a few years ago. She was an advocate for the poor and a strong supporter of civil and human rights her whole life. She loved politics, cooking, gardening and animals, especially her cats. Liz was a friend of Bill W's for more than 31 years and she became an influential presence at Anchor Recovery Community Center in Pawtucket, Rhode Island. She was the daughter of the late James Caldwell and Elizabeth “Betty” (Turner) Caldwell and sister of the late James Stewart Caldwell.
A memorial gathering will be held Sunday, December 13th from 1-2 p.m. in the Pontarelli-Marino Home, 971 Branch Avenue, Providence.
