

Elizabeth A. (Boyaj) Delmonico, 78, passed away Friday, October 4, 2013 at home. She was the wife of the late Adolph Delmonico (owner of Delmonico Ice Cream Co.); daughter of the late Howard D., Sr. and Susie Ann (Paolantonio) Boyaj; mother of Joanne Delmonico of Safety Harbor, FL, John Delmonico and his wife Robyn of Wakefield, RI, Deborah Pratt of Warwick, RI, Lisa A. Delmonico and her husband William Capowski of Nyack, NY; grandmother of Jamie and Shaun Flanagan, Joshua and Alex Pratt, Nicholas and Emma Delmonico, and great-grandmother of Jac Berg. She is also survived by her brother, Howard D. Boyaj, Jr. and his wife Mary, and her sister-in-law, Gilda Delmonico.
Betty lived for many years in the Mt. Pleasant neighborhood of Providence and retired from Trifari/Monet Jewelry Company where she worked as a bookkeeper. In her retirement years, she was a devoted grandmother, a faithful Red Sox fan, and loved history, movies and shopping.
Visitation will be held Monday, 4-7 p.m. with funeral services Tuesday at 9 a.m. from the PONTARELLI-MARINO Home, 971 Branch Avenue, Providence. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. in Blessed Sacrament Church, 179 Academy Avenue, Providence, followed by burial in St. Ann Cemetery, Cranston.
