

WarwickHowe, Elizabeth A., 85, of Cowesett Road, died Saturday at her daughters home. She was the wife of James M. Howe. They had been married fifty-eight years. Born in Providence, a daughter of the late Daniel and Margaret (Costello) Taylor, she had lived in Johnston for many years before moving to Warwick fifteen years ago. Mrs. Howe was a secretary at the Rhode Island School of Design, in the Graphic Design Department, for twenty-five years before retiring in 1987. She was a communicant of Saint Gregory the Great Church. An avid golfer, she scored a hole-in-one on the 4th hole at the Firefly Golf Course in Seekonk, Massachusetts, and she recently enjoyed playing at Windmill Hills Golf Club in Warren.Beside her husband, she leaves three daughters; Judith L. Lavin and her husband, John B. Lavin of West Greenwich, Elizabeth A. Howe and Deborah M. Howe, both of Warwick, two grandsons; Vincent J. Pennacchio and Ciro J. Lotito, III, and a nephew, Donald J. Plummer. She was a sister of the late Mary B. Taylor and Margaret P. Plummer. The funeral will be held Wednesday, at 9:00 am, from the Russell J. Boyle & Son Funeral Home, 142 Centerville Road (Rt117) Warwick. Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 am in Saint Gregory the Great Church, Cowesett Road, Warwick. Burial will be in Mount Saint Mary Cemetery, Pawtucket. Visiting hours Tuesday, 4 -7 pm. In lieu of flowers, donations to V.N.A. of Care New England,(Hospice) 51 Health Lane, Warwick, RI 02886 in her memory will be appreciated.
