Gaetano Lasorsa Jr.

Born in Providence, he was the son of the late Gaetano and Prudence (Papparelli) Lasorsa.

Guy was Warehouse Manager for Kenney Manufacturing for 40 years. Later he was a letter handler for the United States Postal Service for 10 years before retiring. He was also a U.S. Army Veteran of the Korean War.

He was a former member of the Marieville Fire Department, Past President of the R.I. Basketball Official for 30 years, past Financial Secretary and life member of the Lincoln Knights of Columbus, Past Chairman of the Lincoln Parks and Recreation Department and volunteer for the St. Edwards Food and Wellness Center for 20 years. Guy was also an avid golfer and New York Yankee and New England Patriots fan.

He was the loving father of Michael Lasorsa, Thomas Lasorsa and his wife Mary Ann, Susan Andreacchio and her husband Thomas, Guy E. Lasorsa and his wife Lisa, Richard Lasorsa and his wife Kristen, Patricia DiMascio and Elizabeth Lasorsa; grandfather of 13 and great grandfather of 2.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial on Tuesday, June 10, 2025 at 11:00 AM in St. Anthony Church, 1413 Mineral Spring Avenue, North Providence. Burial will be private.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Guy’s memory to the St. Edward Food and Wellness Center, 1001 Branch Avenue, Providence, RI 02904.
