She was the beloved daughter of the late John V. Esposito and Helen (Vento) Tessitore; the devoted wife of David Williams; and the cherished sister of John V. Esposito, Jr., Paula Murphy of North Carolina, Sheila Marie Esposito of Johnston, and Scott A. Esposito of Johnston.
Gail began her career as a gifted cosmetologist after completing her studies at the Jo-An School of Beauty Culture in Providence. Her dedication and passion for her craft took her to London, where she received advanced training at the renowned Vidal Sassoon Academy. Upon returning home, she shared her artistry at John Dellaria in Garden City before joining Strand’s Salon in Wayland Square. There, her creativity, precision, and commitment helped the salon maintain its reputation as one of the finest in the state.
A master stylist and premier colorist, Gail continually pursued excellence. She attended classes and seminars at top hair shows in New York City, always eager to refine her skills and stay inspired. Her natural eye for color and lifelong love of art eventually drew her to painting. A self-taught artist, she created vivid and expressive works that reflected her vibrant spirit and unique perspective. Her paintings were featured in two well-received exhibitions at the gallery of Central Congregational Church on Angell Street in Providence.
Gail touched countless lives with her kindness, warmth, and creative energy. Her thoughtfulness and gentle nature shone through in everything she did — whether styling hair, painting a canvas, or simply offering a listening ear. She will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered by all who had the joy of knowing her.
