Gayle R. Giammarco

Gayle R. Giammarco, 60, passed away August 4, 2021 at home surrounded by her loving family and friends. She was a daughter of the late David H. and Esther (Beretta) Giammarco; sister of Essie Dube, Patricia Giammarco Esq., David H. Giammarco Jr. - Captain NPFD (Lisa), Paul R. Giammarco (Heidi), and the late Dennis J. Giammarco M.D. (Connie); stepmother of Stacie Schoen and gigi of Ben, Max, and Luke; aunt of Lisa, Jeff, Helena, Jonathann, Michael, Faith, Isabella, and David III; and great-aunt of Christian and Jackson.

Gayle held a Bachelor’s degree in English Literature and a Master’s degree in Counseling. She was the first law-firm administrator for Cameron-Mittleman LLP and served in that position for 35 years until her retirement in January of 2021. She also served as adjunct professor at both the Community College of Rhode Island and Johnson and Wales University. She was a faithful member of St. Edward Parish for her entire life. She served on various parish committees and was the auditor for the parish. Gayle enjoyed travel, music, and the performing arts.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend visitation Thursday 10-11 a.m. in St. Edward Church, 997 Branch Ave, Providence followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 11 a.m. Burial will follow in St. Francis Cemetery, Pawtucket. In lieu of flowers, contributions in her memory may be made to St. Edward’s Food and Wellness Center, 997 Branch Ave, Providence, RI 02904. Masks are strongly recommended.
