McNiff, George, age 66, of Natick Ave, passed away on May 16th, 2009 at Kent Hospital. He was the beloved husband of Maureen (Marlowe) McNiff. Son of the late Deputy Chief, Joseph P. McNiff (CFD) and Catherine T. (Lynch) Before retirement, Mr. McNiff was employed as Vice President of Compass Bank. He was a proud Eagle Scout, a 1964 graduate of Providence College, and a loving and caring person who was devoted to his family. Besides his loving wife of 44 years, he leaves his children. Steven M. McNiff and wife Michelle, Matthew J. McNiff and wife Marie, and Laura Murphy and husband James. Brother of Brig. Gen. John J. McNiff. Grandfather of Kaitlyn and Colin Murphy, Ryan and Logan McNiff. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on WEDNESDAY, at 10am in Church of Immaculate Conception, 237 Garden Hills Dr, Cranston. Interment will follow in St. Ann Cemetery.
