Howard E. Devine Sr

Coventry : Devine, Howard E. Sr., 79, of Coventry, passed away on Wednesday, August 31 surrounded by his loving family. He was the son of the late Edward J. and Gertrude C. (Donahue) Devine.He is survived by four children; Howard E. Devine Jr. and his wife Catherine, Kathleen M. Minchak and her husband Greg, Steven P. Devine and his wife Alice and Erin J. Devine; six grand children; Christopher Devine, Heather Devine Gorski, Brooke Tisoskey, Kyle and Scott Minchak, Amaya Devine and five great grand children; Jaycee Park, Aidan and Brody Devine, Joshua and Grace Tisosky. He is also survived by a brother, Chief William V. Devine, a sister, Jean M. Duckworth and his loving companion Marjorie A. Vanover and his long time business partner Kay H. Duckworth.Howard was a graduate of LaSalle Academy, RISD, and the Brown and Sharp apprentice program.He was a pioneer in the Plastics Industry and was the founder of Engineered Plastics Inc. in 1968, co- founder of Accurate Molded Products in Warwick and co owner of RBC Industries. He was a member of the Society of Plastic Engineers. He was an avid sports car collector, and in his free time enjoyed hunting, fishing, and held a private pilot's license. Visiting hours will be held on Monday, September, 5 from 4-7 pm in the Russell J. Boyle & Son Funeral Home, 331 Smith Street, Providence. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Tuesday, September 6, at 10:00 am in St. Augustine Church, Mt. Pleasant Ave, Providence.
