Ismael Ocasio, 72, of Providence, passed away on Sunday, November 27, 2016, at Rhode Island Hospital. He was the husband of Maria L. Colon. They were married over 30 years. Born in Arecibo, Puerto Rico, he was a son of the late Francisco and Maria E. (Serrano) Ocasio. Ismael worked as a Barber for many years. He loved music and nature. He also enjoyed playing his cuatro, guitar, and piano. Besides his wife, he leaves his five daughters, Irene Ocasio, of Puerto Rico, Francisca Ocasio, of MA, Iraida Ocasio, of North Providence, Mildred Jose Ocasio, of Charlotte, NC, and Melissa Ocasio, of Lincoln; a brother, Concepción Ocasio, of Arecibo, PR; three sisters, Francisca Ocasio, of Arecibo, PR, Milagros Ocasio, of Arecibo, PR, and Irene Ocasio, of Arecibo, PR; fourteen grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. His funeral will begin on Tuesday, December 6, 2016, at 9:15 am, followed by a funeral service at 10:00 am, in the Russell J. Boyle & Son Funeral Home, 331 Smith Street, Providence, RI 02908. Graveside burial will be in Saint Ann Cemetery, Cranston. Visiting hours will be on Monday, December 5, 2016, from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm."
