James E. Egan, 92, passed away September 12, 2016. He was the husband of the late Marguerite (Bowe) Egan; son of the late William and Irene Egan; father of James B. Egan and Jeffrey M. Egan and his wife Melanie; grandfather of Matthew Egan; brother of Thomas Egan, Irene Marsden and the late William Egan.
Mr. Egan was a self-employed glazing contractor and served in the U.S. Navy during WWII.
Visitation and funeral services will be held Thursday, 8:30-9:30 a.m. from the PONTARELLI-MARINO Home, 971 Branch Avenue, Providence followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. in St. Edward Church, 997 Branch Avenue, Providence. Burial with military honors will be in the RI Veterans Cemetery, Exeter. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association, 245 Waterman St., Ste.306, Providence, RI 02906.
