

Narragansett James F. "Jimbo" Feeney, 56, of Crestwood Drive, died suddenly Thursday at South County Hospital. He was the beloved husband of Christine M. (Prior) Feeney. They were married for twenty-four years. Born in Providence, a son of the late James F. and Helen T. (Hackett) Feeney , he lived in Providence before moving to Narragansett eighteen years ago. Jimbo was a supervisor for the Providence Water Supply Board for fifteen years, retiring in 1990. He was the manager of Twin Willows for nine years, co-owner of Bradley CafAC. for ten years, and a long time member of the Laborers International Union of North America. An avid lifelong sports fan, Jimbo was the voice of the Narragansett Mariners Football Team. He was a member of the Irish Kings, South County Friendly Sons of Saint Patrick and the Narragansett Lions Club. Besides his wife Christine, he leaves his loving children, James F. Feeney and Kelly E. Feeney; a sister, Jane Quirk and her husband Robert; a brother, Brian Feeney and his wife Susan; and several nieces and nephews. The funeral will be held Monday, at 8:30 am, from the Russell J. Boyle & Son Funeral Home, 142 Centerville Road, (Rt117) Warwick. Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 am in Saint Pius V Church, Eaton Street, Providence. Burial will be in Saint Francis Cemetery, Wakefield. Visiting hours Sunday, 4 - 8 pm.
