He was the beloved husband of Margaret (Virgilio) Femia. Born in Arlington, Massachusetts, he was a son of the late Amadeo and Rose (Mesita) Femia. He was the loving father of James P. Femia Jr. and his wife Roseanna, and Roseann Femia; cherished grandfather of Michelle Femia, Maria Marble, Holly Femia and Erica Marble; great-grandfather of Brendon and Tyler Calkins. He was the brother of Salvatore Femia, Teresa Costa, Josephine Healey, Florence Femia, Rose Schofield and the late Pasquale Femia, George Femia and Mary O’Keefe.
Visitation and funeral will be held Friday, 9:00-10:30 a.m. in the PONTARELLI-MARINO Home, 971 Branch Avenue, Providence, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 11 a.m. in Holy Cross Church, 645 Hartford Avenue, Providence. Burial will be in St. Ann Cemetery, Cranston. Donation may be made in his memory to The Autism Project, 1516 Atwood Avenue, Johnston, RI 02919.
