

James Roland Laliberte, 76, of Warwick passed away on Wednesday at Kent Hospital. He was the beloved husband of Regina “Gina” (Vieira) Laliberte. They celebrated their 50th Anniversary this past June.
Born in Pawtucket, he was the son of the late J. Roland and M. Charlotte (Gorman) Laliberte.
James was a man of faith, praying the rosary eight times each day in addition to attending daily mass when his health allowed it. Whenever he became aware of someone's need, he responded with prayer for them.
In addition to his wife Gina, he leaves his children, Jonathan Laliberte and his partner Muriel of East Providence, Christina Marley and her husband Richard of Tiverton, Joseph Laliberte and his wife Rebecca of Cranston, and Peter Laliberte and his wife Renee of Providence. He leaves a sister Roberta Moss and was the brother of the late Sr. Rosemary Laliberte RSM. James also leaves his beloved grandchildren Hannah, Connor and Adam Marley, and Joseph Laliberte.
His funeral will be held on Wednesday, January 25th at 8:45 am from the Russell J. Boyle & Son Funeral Home, 331 Smith Street Providence. Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 am in St. Patrick Church, 244 Smith Street, Providence. Burial will follow in St. Ann Cemetery, Cranston. Visitation will be held Tuesday 4-7 pm. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in his memory to St. Patrick Church, 244 Smith Street, Providence, RI 02908.
