ProvidenceWinn, James F. "Jimmy", 60, of Windmill Street, died Friday at home. He was the husband of Elizabeth A. "Liz" (Auger) Winn. They had been married for 40 years. Born in Providence, a son of the late Joseph and Margaret (Guertin) Winn, he had been a resident of the Smith Hill neighborhood most of his life. He attended Saint Patrick School and Mount Pleasant High School. As a young man, he was an outstanding athlete, and was well known for his skill on the baseball diamond.Beside his wife Liz, he leaves four daughters; Lori A. Auger, Rhonda J. Winn, Ruth Stanley, Elizabeth "Snoopy" Winn, two brothers; Joseph Winn and John Winn, a sister; Margaret Martin, seven grandchildren, a great-grandson, and step-children; Edward Kozusko, III and Kayesha Garcia. He was a brother of the late Robert Winn. The funeral will be held Monday, at 8:00 am, from the Russell J. Boyle & Son Funeral Home, 331 Smith Street, Providence. Mass of Christian Burial at 9:00 am in Saint Patrick Church, Smith Street, Providence. Burial will be in Highland Memorial Park, Johnston. Visiting hours Sunday 3 - 8 pm.
