

Born in Laos to the late Ben and Thongchan (Phexayakhoth) Keomorokot, Jim was an intelligent, hardworking, and charismatic man, respected by his peers for both his character and accomplishments. His life was defined by a passion for learning and a commitment to excellence. He pursued his education in math, science, and technology, earning a Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering from San Diego State University and later a Master of Business Administration in Managerial Technologies from Johnson & Wales University. He would go on to have a long career as a senior engineer at Raytheon Corp.
Jim was the proud father of four children: Sarah Keomorokot, Austin Keomorokot, Bouasavanh Amy Keomorokot, and Thidavanh Anna Keomorokot. He is survived by his siblings Sam, Somchan, Chanthalay, Ian, Jay, Keo, Khamsay, and Nangnoi Keomorokot, and was preceded in death by his dear brother Santi Keomorokot, whose memory he cherished throughout his life.
Those who knew Jim will remember his sharp mind, steady guidance, and unwavering devotion to his family. His laughter, wisdom, and drive inspired everyone fortunate enough to know him. Whether in professional settings or family gatherings, Jim’s presence brought warmth, respect, and joy.
A funeral service will be held on Thursday, August 14, 2025, from 9:30 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. at Russell J. Boyle and Son Funeral Home, 331 Smith Street, Providence, RI. The service will be followed by a Traditional Buddhist Cremation Ceremony at Swan Point Crematory, Providence, RI. Family and friends will gather to share memories and celebrate the lasting legacy Jim leaves behind.
