John R. Langton

Born in Providence, he was the son of the late J. Raymond and Dorothy M. (Galligan) Langton.

Jack worked for Narragansett Electric Company for 38 years, before retiring. He was a member of the local 310 of the Brotherhood of Utility Workers.

In addition to his wife Nancy, he leaves two sons, Michael R. Langton of N. Scituate and Christopher J. Langton of Warwick, a daughter, Dawn Delli Capini of Cape Coral, Florida, two sisters, Patricia Perillo and Kathleen Laprade of Johnston, three grandchildren, Delaney, Shane, and Dillon, two nephews, Justin Perillo and David Laprade, and a niece Dayna Perillo. He was Papa Jack to Shyanne, Shay-Lynn and Justin.

The funeral will be held on Monday, at 8:45 am from the Russell J. Boyle & Son Funeral Home, 331 Smith Street, Providence. Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 am in Saint Augustine Church, 639 Mount Pleasant Avenue, Providence. Burial will follow in Saint Ann Cemetery, Cranston. Visiting hours Sunday 2:00 to 5:00 pm.
