Born in Providence, he was the son of the late John C. and Mabel (Golding) Link.
John loved carpentry and worked as a general contractor; he also had a love to work on cars and boats for years until he was forced to stop due to his illness. John was always there to help friends and family with carpentry projects, car repairs or whatever else they needed him for.
John was full of life as he loved the outdoors spending time with his wife, kids, daughter in laws and grandchildren camping, boating and fishing.
He was the father of John C. Link, III, Jason Link and Paul Link and grandfather of 10. He was also the brother of Jean, August and Joy Link and the late Elizabeth Hammond and Mary Lou Casey.
