Born in Providence, he was the son of the late Francis P. and Hazel L. (Long) Lynch. He had been the husband of Bertha “Beth” (Letourneau) Lynch.
He was the father of Michael F., John J., Jr., James T., Karen A. and Mary Beth Lynch, Maureen Crawley and the late Richard P. Lynch; grandfather of 5; brother of Sr. Frances Lynch R.S.M. and the late Joseph M, Frederick R. and Paul F. Lynch.
Mr. Lynch had work for the U.S. Postal Service for 34 years before retiring. He was a WWII Navy Veteran.
Visitation will be held Friday, 5-8 p.m. in the PONTARELLI-MARINO Home, 971 Branch Avenue, Providence. Relatives and friends are invited to attend A Mass of Christian Burial at 11 a.m. in St. Edward Church, 997 Branch Avenue, Providence. Burial will be private.
