

Glocester-- McCullough, John T., 63, of Waterman Lake Drive, passed away suddenly on Saturday, June 15, 2013 at Fatima Hospital in North Providence. He was the beloved and treasured husband of Cynthia A. (Balkus) McCullough.Born in Providence, he was the son of the late Edward and Margaret (McGregor) McCullough. Beloved brother of Edward "Teddy" McCullough and his wife Rita, Helen Turner and the late Gertrude Lambert; beloved brother in law of Ronald Balkus, Lawrence Balkus and his wife Barbara and the late John Balkus; also survived by nieces and nephews and many loving friends.John was a graduate of LaSalle Academy, class of 1969. He was a US Navy veteran, serving aboard the USS Franklin D. Roosevelt Aircraft Carrier. He was anundefeated boxer in the US Naval Boxing competition and against other armed forces. He retired from the Providence School Department.He was an avid fisherman and was a great singer.He was dearly loved by friends and family; alway there to help them.I love you so much my dear husband, my best friend. Please give me strength to carry on until I'm blessed to be with you again. I know you are an angel in Heaven.His funeral will be held on Thursday, June 20, 2013 at 9:15 am from the Russell J. Boyle & Son Funeral Home, 331 Smith St., Providence. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:30 am in St. Casimir Church, 350 Smith St. Providence.
