John Bernard O'Neil

Born in Boston, John was the son of the late John F. and Margaret (Donlon) O’Neil. 

John retired as Manager after 35 years with Verizon.

Besides his wife, John is survived by his sons, John (Jean), Joseph (Karen), his daughters, Margaret “Peg” Rose (Gary), and Ann Brown (Carl),  He was the beloved grandfather of Becca, Brendon, Patrick, Jake, Andrew, Ryan, Conor, Hannah, Matthew, Kelsey, and Nick. John also leaves his cherished great grandchildren, Zachary, Max, Nathan, Frankie, Liam, Logan, and Patrick, and was looking forward to the arrival of his eighth great grandchild in March.

John was the father of twin boys, Thomas and Joseph, who died in infancy.

A lifelong fan of the Red Sox and Patriots, John had the soul of an angel and the heart of a warrior.  He will be sorely missed by all who were fortunate to have known him.

A visitation will be held on Friday from 9 am – 10 am, in the Russell J. Boyle and Son Funeral Home, 142 Centerville Rd. Warwick, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 11 am in St. Peter Church, 350 Fair St. in Warwick. Committal prayers to follow in St. Ann Cemetery, Cranston.
