

Joseph G. Lefebvre, 83, of Pascoag, passed away on Friday, May 8, 2015 at Pine Grove Nursing Home in Pascoag. Born in Providence, he was a son of the late Alfred J. and Alice (Turcotte) Lefebvre. Mr. Lefebvre served his country proudly with the United States Army during the Korean War. He was a recipient of the Purple Heart during his faithful service. He was employed as a warehouseman at East Providence Consolidated Freightways for ten years prior to retiring due to injury. Mr. Lefebvre was a grand knight with the Knights of Columbus Bouffard Council # 2965 in North Providence for many years. Joseph is survived by his siblings, Edmund J. Lefebvre and his wife, Dolores, Doris M. Graham, Marie R. Calitri, Estelle M. St. Pierre, and Claire M. Hoogasian; several nieces and nephews and several grand nieces and nephews. He was the brother of the late Bernadette Gilchrist and Beatrice Arias. His funeral will be held on Wednesday, May 13, 2015 at 7:45 am, from the Russell J. Boyle & Son Funeral Home, 331 Smith Street, Providence. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 9:00 am in the Presentation of the Blessed Virgin Mary Church, 1081 Mineral Spring Avenue, North Providence. Interment with military honors will follow in Gate of Heaven Cemetery, East Providence. Visiting hours, Tuesday, May 12th , 5-8pm.
