Josephine Carcieri

Josephine was the daughter of the late Antonio and Fortunata (Genovese) Spinella of Providence, formerly of Oliveri, Sicily. She was the oldest of 10, survived by her youngest sibling Elaine Drapeau of East Providence. She was the sister of the late Salvatore Spinella, Sarah Iannarelli, Mary Iannucci, Elizabeth Broderick, Ann Marandola, Peter Spinella, and twins Peter and Mary who passed as infants. Josephine is survived by her daughters Eleanor Conti-Robinson of Smithfield, RI and Michele Gemma of AZ. She was the mother of the late Beverly Perrotti of Fort Worth, TX and Michael Carcieri of Advance, NC. Josephine has 11 grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren, and 4 great-great-grandchildren. Her family has 5 generations. She was also the aunt of many nieces and nephews. She was a source of great strength to her family.

Visitation will be held Monday, 4-7 p.m. with funeral services on Tuesday at 9 a.m. from the PONTARELLI-MARINO Home, 971 Branch Avenue, Providence. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. in Mary, Mother of Mankind Church, 25 Fourth Street, North Providence, followed by burial St. Francis Cemetery, Pawtucket.
