Kathleen Ann Bertrand

Born in Providence, she was the daughter of the late John and Esther (DiTomasso) Caccia.

In Kathy's early years she was a company dancer with Festival Ballet, and she was a graduate of St. Mary’s Academy of the Visitation and Johnson and Whales University. Later, she was an insurance underwriter until her retirement. She then went on to work in many positions throughout the Providence Public School District.

She enjoyed her summers on Block Island at Payne's Dock and her winters on the Gulf Coast in Florida. She was a doting mother, grandmother and great grandmother. She prided herself on her family and adored her sons-in-law. She loved cooking and baking for her dear family and friends.

She was the loving mother of Bethany Petisce and her husband Christopher and Rachel L. Renaldo and her husband James, the cherished grandmother of Mia P. Valentine and Angelina and Santino Petisce, and treasured great grandmother of Nico Lightbown. She also leaves her beloved dog rusty and her grand-dogs, Jameson and Luke.

Her visitation and funeral will be held on Tuesday, April 14, 2026 from 9:00 to 10:30 AM in the PONTARELLI-MARINO FUNERAL HOME, 971 Branch Avenue, Providence followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 AM in St. Raymond’s Church, 1240 North Main Street, Providence. Inurnment to follow in St. Francis Cemetery.
