Born in Providence, she was the beloved daughter of Ethel (Mourine) Walsh and the late John Walsh. She was the loving sister of Jean M. Keough and the late Maureen Lee. She also leaves many beloved nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.
Although she had no children of her own, Kathy was a constant and loving presence in the lives of her nieces and nephews, almost like a second mom as they grew up. She loved to cook and always made sure there was more than enough food for everyone.
Kathy had an irreverent sense of humor and could always be counted on for a good laugh, never missing a chance to keep a joke going. Beneath her humor was a deep sensitivity when it came to her family, paired with a fierce protectiveness for those she loved.
She lived life on her own terms and never worried much about what anyone else had to say. Through all the ups and downs, one thing was never in question: how much she loved, and how deeply she was loved in return.
Funeral services and burial will be private. Donations may be made in Kathleen’s memory to the Providence Animal Rescue League, 34 Elbow Street, Providence, RI 02903.
