Born in Providence, she was the daughter of the late Alfred and Edna (Allen) Husband.
Kathryn was the beloved wife of Lewis Smith and the devoted mother of the late Tene Husband. She was a proud and loving grandmother to Quandell Husband and Ondrew Akinola. She is also survived by her dear sister, Nancy (Husband) Pope, and was a cherished aunt to many nieces and nephews, as well as a godmother and maternal figure to countless others whose lives she touched with her warmth and generosity.
She was preceded in death by her siblings Alfred J. Husband, Linda (Husband) Harris, Robert “Bobby” Husband, Richard “Nicky” Husband, and Daniel Husband.
Known for her outgoing spirit and deep love for her family. Kathryn brought people together especially through her cooking, which was a highlight of every holiday.
Kathryn will be deeply missed and forever loved by all who knew her.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend her graveside burial on Tuesday, July 15, 2025 at 11:00 a.m. in North Burial Ground Cemetery, 5 Branch Ave, Providence.
