

Warwick Larry T. Lamar, 57, of Northbridge Avenue, died Sunday afternoon at home. Born in North Kingston at the Quonset Point Naval Air Station, he was a son of Mary (Riley) Lamar Grancher and the late Lawrence L. Lamar, (Ret.USN, CPO). Popular among his peers, Larry was known as the official greeter at the J. Arthur Trudeau Center for many years. An avid sports fan, he enjoyed watching the Patriots, Red Sox and Bruins. With beautiful blue eyes and an infectious smile, along with his warm personality he could light up any room he entered. He will be sorely missed by those who knew and loved him.In addition to his mother, he leaves two brothers, Garry W. Lamar and Steven W. Lamar and his wife Mary; and nieces and nephews Mia Lamar, Carleigh Lamar, Katie (Brendon) Murano and their son Dylan, and Michael (Amanda) Lovaas and their daughter Madison.The visiting hours will be held Thursday, from 10:00 am to 11:00 am in the Russell J. Boyle & Son Funeral Home, 142 Centerville Road, (Rt117) Warwick. The service will begin at 11:00 am. Burial will be in the Rhode Island Veteran Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations to the J. Arthur Trudeau Center, 3445 Post Road, Warwick, RI 02886 in his memory will be appreciated.
