North Providence Lena Courtemanche, 83, of Sorrell Road, died peacefully Friday afternoon at the Philip Hulitar Hospice Center surrounded by her loving family. She was the beloved wife of Richard Courtemanche. Born in Salerno, Italy, she was a daughter of the late Bartolomeo and Maria DeSimone. Lena was a seamstress for Dorothy Williams Clothing Store for many years before retiring. Beside her husband, she leaves three sons, Nicholas L. Colangelo, Esq., Steven J. Colangelo and Louis S. Colangelo; a daughter, Maryann Giordano; a sister, Josephina Luca; three grandchildren and two great-grandsons. She was a sister of the late Maria Scaleia, Anna D'Abate and Rosa Farino. The funeral service will be private. Donations to Saint Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 Saint Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105 in her memory will be appreciated.
