

Born in Providence, he was the son of the late Romolo and Josephine (Pontarelli) Mannarelli.
Leonard was an All-State baseball player for Mt. Pleasant High School and later served as a Staff Sergeant in the US Army during the Korean War. He was a general contractor and owner of R. Mannarelli & Sons, building throughout RI. He was an active member of the RI Trap Shooting Association and was an avid hunter, always looking forward to opening day goose season in Maryland. As a loving dad and grandfather, his family always turned to him for his advice and keen insight.
He was the devoted father of Dr. Leonard A. Mannarelli II and his companion Paula Franklin, Michael A. Mannarelli and his wife Judy, and Donna B. Marcaccio and her husband Paul; cherished grandfather of Paul Marcaccio Jr. and Michael Marcaccio; and brother of Robert Mannarelli, Phyllis Montecalvo and the late Gino and Raymond Mannarelli and Petrina Caccia.
His funeral will be held Monday, April 17, 2023 at 10:30 AM in the PONTARELLI-MARINO HOME, 971 Branch Avenue, Providence followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 AM in St. Augustine Church, 639 Mt. Pleasant Avenue, Providence. Burial to follow in St. Francis Cemetery. VISITATION MONDAY 9:30 AM – 10:30 AM.
