

Loretta A. (Wilkes) Bergheimer, 77, of Coventry, peacefully passed away at home on July 5, 2014 She was the beloved wife of Frank Bergheimer. Loretta was born in Boston, of parents William and Mary (Sullivan) Wilkes. She was a loving and caring person with a great sense of humor who was devoted to her family. She had a passion for music, reading, arts and crafts, scrabble, and was very skilled in knitting and needlepoint. Loretta was a loyal Red Sox and Patriot fan. Besides her husband of over 58 years, she is survived by her four children and their spouses, Frank and Mary Bergheimer of Warwick , David and Nancy Bergheimer of CT, William Bergheimer of Coventry, and June Bergheimer of CA ; she leaves her sisters Rita Brady and the late Claire Landi. A big joy and pleasure in her younger and midlife years was planning over the top Christmas gatherings with an open door policy, she was very patriotic and always loved 4th of July celebrations and backyard cookouts. She will be missed dearly. Her funeral will be held on Thursday at 9 am, with a funeral service to begin at 10 am in the Russell J. Boyle & Son Funeral Home 142 Centerville Rd, Warwick. Interment will follow in St Ann Cemetery.
