

Louise Goodwin Teeven, of Eagle’s Nest, died on Sunday, May 3, 2015 at her home surrounded by her loving family. She was the wife of the late Paul Lane Teeven. They were married for 56 years. Born in Providence, she was the daughter of the late John and Margaret (Levine) Goodwin. A graduate of Blessed Sacrament School and Saint Patrick’s High School, she had worked at the Providence Journal Co. in the Treasurer’s Office. Louise loved her home and family, that was the focus of her life. She spent many hours volunteering for various schools and parishes over the years and was a communicant of Saint Gregory the Great Church. She is survived by two sons, Gerard P. Teeven and his wife, Judy K., of Naples, FL and David J. Teeven and his wife, Leah, of Melrose, MA; three daughters, Patricia L. Maida and her husband, Michael, of Hockessin, DE, Judy A. Teeven, of Southold, NY and Barbara T. Wilklow and her husband, Michael, of Raleigh, NC; and five beloved grandchildren, Casey, Alison, Kristen, Matthew and Lindsay. Louise is also survived by a brother, Alfred E. Goodwin, of Little Compton and many nieces and nephews. She was the sister of the late Margaret, Norman, Raymond J., John A., and Francis X. Goodwin, Elizabeth Goodwin Lane and Norma Maloney Dexter. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Thursday, May 7, 2015 at 10:00 am, in Saint Gregory the Great Church, 350 Cowesett Road, Warwick, to which relatives and friends are cordially invited. Interment will follow in the Rhode Island Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Exeter. Visiting hours will be held on Wednesday, May 6, 2015 from 5:00 to 8:00 pm, in the Russell J. Boyle & Son Funeral Home, 142 Centerville Road, Warwick. The family would like to thank the many doctors, nurses, hospice nurses and aides who offered guidance and support with such dignified care and respect during the past several months.
