Lucille L. Sako

Lucille Louise (D’Amico) Sako, 82, of Cranston, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, February 9, 2022. She was the devoted wife of Stephen J. Sako. Born in Providence, she was the daughter of the late Leo and Louise (Ileo) D’Amico.

She was the mother to Lauren Greene, Karen Simeone and her husband Jack, and Cheryl London and her husband Jon. She was the mother-in-law to Joe Greene.

She was the sister of the late Jean (D’Amico) Borzaro and Leo E. D’Amico.

Lucille’s greatest joy was spending time with her family and helping raise her seven grandchildren. She cherished her role as “Grammy” to Jack, Alanna, Stephen, Timothy, Christopher, Jarred, and Kylah. She was also the proud great-grandmother of Natalia, Lorenzo, and Luca. In fulfilling this role, she proudly shopped endlessly for her family, wrapped gifts, cooked, and decorated for holidays. She’s best remembered in her element during these times, filling and hiding easter eggs, making antipasto, Italian wedding soup, squash parmesan, and thanksgiving “dressing”.

She was a faithful member of Saint Rocco’s Church in Johnston, where she served as a Eucharistic Minister.

At the request of the family, funeral and burial will be private.
