Providence Margaret M. Griffin, 82 of Maude Street, died Saturday evening, January 3, 2015, at the Elmhurst Extended Care Facility. Born in Providence, a daughter of the late Timothy P. and Margaret (McCarthy) Griffin, she lived in the Smith Hill section of Providence for many years and Simmons Village, Johnston, for nearly twenty years. Margaret was a Licensed Practical Nurse at Rhode Island Hospital for over thirty years before retiring.She leaves a brother, John P. "Jack" Griffin (Ret PPD), two sisters, Joan A. Simpson and Jean Goclowski; several nieces and nephews, and caregivers Konnie and Roland Laprade. She was the sister in law of the late Suzanne (Marcotte) Griffin and Walter Goclowski.The committal service will be held Friday, at 11:00 am, in Saint Ann Cemetery Chapel, 73 Church Street, Cranston.
