Marion "Mike" Joseph Klimek

Marion J. “MIKE” Klimek, 97, of West Warwick, passed away on Tuesday, February 17, 2015 at Kent Hospital. Born in West Warwick, he was a son of the late Jacob and Catherine Klimek Marion served his country proudly with the United States Army during World War II. Mr. Klimek was an avid New England Sports fan and loved to read. He was a kind and loving person who will be missed by all who knew him. He leaves his daughter, Donna Matos, of Plymouth, CA; grandchildren; Russell Tanner, Corey Tanner, and Joshua Matos; great grandchildren, Ari Tanner and Benjamin Tanner; and a niece, Jo-Ann Casimiro. He was the brother of the late, Joseph Klimek, Francis Klimek, Frederick Klimek, Benard Klimek, Anna Lininger. Interment with military honors and committal prayers will be held on Friday, February 9, 2015 at 9:00 am, in the chapel of the Rhode Island Veterans Memorial Cemetery, 301 South County Trail, Exeter. For any of those who wish to attend, please arrive at the Administration Building parking area by 8:50 am, and we will proceed to the chapel in a cortege. Visiting hours will be respectfully omitted.
