

Cronin, Martha M. "Marty" (Burke), age 68 of Cranston, went peacefully to her Saviour on Monday surrounded by her loving and caring family. She is the beloved wife of Francis William Michael Cronin. Born in Cambridge, MA, she was the daughter of the late Walter V. and Ann M. (Devine) Burke. Marty was a receptionist at the R.I. Lottery Commission for eight years, before retiring in 2002. Previously, she was a rental agent for fifteen years at Bilodeau Property Management. She was a Providence resident prior to moving to Cranston twenty years ago. Marty is a woman whom deeply loved her Catholic faith. She is a communicant of St. Mark Church, and also a member of the St. Patrick and St. Charles Church prayer groups for forty years. She was also a volunteer at their soup kitchens. Besides her husband of over twenty two years, she is survived by four daughters, Danielle van der Wiel, Suzette M. Lefevre, Erin A. Thibeault, Seana P. San Antonio, and her only son Denis P. Thibeault. She is survived by five brothers: Stephen A., John J., James E., Peter J. and Walter V. Burke Jr. , and four sisters: Florrie M. Bagley, Gemma M. Wojciechowski, Anne M. Osenkowski and Sarah J. Burke. She also leaves ten beautiful grandchildren, whom she greatly adored. Her funeral will be held on Friday, at 8:30am conducted from the Russell J. Boyle & Son Funeral Home 331 Smith St., Providence. The concelebrated Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10 am in St. Mark Church Garden City Dr., Cranston. Burial in R.I.
