Born in Providence she was the daughter of the late John Carroll and Mary ( Fitzgerald ) Murray, Sr.
Mary Ellen graduated Magna Cum Laude from CCRI and was a patient care specialist in area hospitals before her retirement.
Mary Ellen is survived by her brothers John C. Murray, Jr. and his wife Kathleen of Coventry, Mark C. Murray and his wife Kelly of Cumberland, Jeffrey P. Murray and his wife Lou Ann of North Smithfield, her nephew Brendan Murray, nieces Moriah Russell and her husband Patrick, Sheena Murray and her husband Andrew, Kyla Murray and her great nephews Phoenix and Rayven Russell.
Mary Ellen was aunt to the late Daniel J. Murray.
Family and friends are invited to call Monday, May 15, 2023 from 9:00-10:00 am in the Russell J. Boyle and Son Funeral Home, 331 Smith Street, Providence. Her Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 11:00 am in St. Ambrose Church, 191 School Street, Albion. Burial is in St. Ann Cemetery, Cranston.
