Providence Mary "Sis", (Murphy) Milner, 83, passed away peacefully on January 23, 2017. She was the beloved wife of Gilbert Milner. Born in Providence, she was a daughter of the late Matthew and Susanne (Feeney) Murphy. Mary was employed by First National Stores for many years. In addition to her husband, she leaves two sons, Donald and his wife Claire, and Michael and his wife Margaret; two grandchildren, Mary Hartley and William Milner; and four sisters, Madeline Davis, Eleanor McGrane, Evelyn Collins and Joan Cannon. The funeral will be held Friday, at 8:45 am, from the Russell J. Boyle & Son Funeral Home, 331 Smith Street, Providence. Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 am in Saint Pius V Church, Eaton Street, Providence. Burial will be in Saint Ann Cemetery, Cranston. Visiting hours Thursday, 3:00 - 5:00 pm. In lieu of flowers, donations to Alzheimer's Association of RI, 245 Waterman Street, Suite 306, Providence RI 02906 in her memory will be appreciated.
