Mary Victoria Motta

PROVIDENCE; Motta, Mary V. "Mamie" (Penacho), 89, formerly of Wild St, died Saturday at Bethany Home. She was the wife of the late Manuel F. Motta. Born in Rehoboth, MA, she was the daughter of the late John J. and Mary M.(Ledo) Penacho. Mary was a sewer for Standard Romper ( Health-Tex) in Central Falls for 30 years and retired in 1982. She later worked for the Foster Grandparents Program from 1984-1989. She is survived by her three daughters, twins Pearl A. Motta of Charlestown, MA and Patricia A. Tutalo of Warwick, and Linda L. Hammond of Arizona; three brothers, Joseph Penacho of Santee, CA, Francis and Robert Penacho of Seekonk, three sisters, Dorothy Sousa of Sebring, FL, Rose Guglielmo of Rumford, and Janice Cordeiro of Seekonk, three grandchildren and one great grandson. She was the sister of the late Alfred, John J. and Lester Penacho. Her funeral and visitation will be held on Wednesday at 8am from the Russell J. Boyle & Son Funeral Home 331 Smith Street, Providence. Mass of Christian Burial wil be celebrated at 10am in Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church, Taunton Ave Seekonk. Burial will be in Seekonk Cemetery, Seekonk, MA.
