Mary J. (Card) Nelson with love and respect, of Providence, passed away December 29, 2016. She was the loving wife of the late Gilbert Nelson for almost 46 years and the beloved daughter of the late Walter and Bertha (Jackson) Card.
Mary leaves her beloved daughter, Linda N. Ward and her husband Mark, her favorite grandson Daniel Ward and his wife Amanda and her beautiful great granddaughter Sophia Marie. She was also the sister of the late Walter, Durward, Leonard and Robert Card, Arlene Malbaurn and Beverly Whitman.
Her visitation and funeral will be held Tuesday at 8:30 am from the ROMANO FUNERAL HOME, 627 Union Avenue, Providence followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 am in St. Bartholomew Church, 297 Laurel Hill Avenue, Providence. Burial to follow in St. Joseph Cemetery, West Greenwich.
