Maureen G. Brown

Maureen G. (Downey) Brown of Warwick, passed away on February 6, 2013 at Kent Hospital. She was the beloved wife and best friend of F. Paul Brown. Born in Pawtucket, she was the daughter of the late Stephen and Genevieve (Laushway) Downey. Before retiring, Mrs. Brown was a Registered Nurse with many hospitals in RI, and with Blue Cross and Blue Shield and Yawgoo Scout Reservation. She was a graduate of Bay View Academy, and a Alumnus of RI Hospital School of Nursing. She was an active volunteer with Right to Life of RI, and the Military Nurses Memorial. She was also a loving and caring person who was devoted to her family.Besides her husband of over 56 years, she leaves her loving children, Robert Brown of Coventry, Deacon Scott Brown of Cranston, Todd Brown of West Warwick and Matthew Brown of Cranston, sister of Margaret Giampietro of North Providence and Monica Baker of PA. Grandmother of 7, great-grandmother of 1. She was the mother of the late Kelly and Michael Brown. Visitation will be held on TUESDAY from 4 to 7 pm in the RUSSELL J. BOYLE & SON Funeral Home 142 Centerville Rd., WARWICK. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on WEDNESDAY at 10 am in St. Kateri Tekakwitha Catholic Church 84 Exeter Rd., Exeter, RI 02822.
