

Meghan D. Soltys, 24, passed away August 6, 2016. She was the beloved daughter of Susan S. (DiMeglio) Soltys and Edward J. Soltys; cherished sister of Michael E. Soltys; loving girlfriend of Nicholas Lasorsa; maternal granddaughter of Aniello “Neil” DiMeglio and the late Viola E. DiMeglio; paternal granddaughter of the late Edward and Dorothy Soltys. She also leaves her beloved dog Rocky and many loving aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.
Born a natural leader, Meghan never escaped a challenge, but rather tackled them with all her tenaciousness and love for life. She intuitively understood how to channel struggle into strength and her radiance aided and comforted those close to her. She had the physique, vigor, and walk of a champion because she was indeed, a champion. Her remarkable motivation and work ethic led her to craft astonishing gymnastic skill and ingenuity very young; An innate energy and ability that she knew how to hone and perfect. She was a respected and accomplished gymnast of the Ocean State School of Gymnastics and Lasalle Academy, as well as an All-State Champion and Regional contender. She passionately pursued her ambitions and shared true unconditional love with amazing people. She was a Certified Personal Trainer, always working hard and having fun. Pure, genuine, and smart; The most beautiful woman with most delightful voice. She is our everlasting inspiration to be yourself and go for the gold.
Visitation will be held Thursday, 4-7 p.m. with her funeral on Friday at 9 a.m. from the PONTARELLI-MARINO Home, 971 Branch Avenue, Providence. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. in St. Augustine Church, 639 Mount Pleasant Avenue, Providence, followed by burial in St. Ann Cemetery, Cranston.
