

Merrill A. (Gauthier) Brennan, 68, of Cranston, passed away Thursday morning, December 9, 2021 at home surrounded by her loving family. She was the beloved wife of Paul J. Brennan for the past forty five years.
Born in Providence, she was a daughter of the late Alexis and Elizabeth (Stanford) Gauthier.
Merrill was a dedicated school teacher for the Providence School Department for over thirty years before retiring. She spent the majority of her career at the Robert F. Kennedy School, where she was well liked and respected by both students and colleagues. She earned both bachelor's and master's degrees from Rhode Island College.
In addition to her husband Paul, she leaves two daughters, Lindsey N. Reilly and husband Marcus and Courtney E. Richardson; a son, Tyler A. Brennan and fiance Martika; three sisters, Daryl J. Mazza and husband Louis, Michele McNally and husband Michael, and Renee Pagliarini and husband William; and seven loving grandchildren, Owen, Jackson and Brooklyn Reilly, Mia, Dante, and Gian Richardson, and Alexei Brennan.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Monday, at 10:00 am, in Immaculate Conception Church, 237 Garden Hills Drive, Cranston, to which relatives and friends are invited. Burial will be private. Visiting hours are respectfully omitted.
